Eastgate Community Church

Mission's Update

The vision of Eastgate Community Church is to make an IMPACT in our city, state, nation and around the world.  This Mission's Update will keep you up to date on the missionaries we support as well as share with you opportunities in how you can become involved as well.

We will be receiving an offering the first Sunday of each month to help bring this about.  We will be working with our foriegn missionaries in building Churches, schools, orphanages and purchasing food and clothing for many.  Please seek God's will for how you might participate in this endeavor.

If we can assist you in making an IMPACT not only at home, but around the world as well, please don't hesitate to let us know.  Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding our mission's ministry. We can be reached at 513-722-1428.

While reflecting on my image this morning while looking into the mirror of the Word, I didn't like what I was seeing.  Jesus looking into my heart explained to me what He is seeing.
Matt. 12:34b,   For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.

We get so caught up in the political and economic situation that we begin to say things that we shouldn't be saying.  We forget that there is an enemy out there that is out to destroy us.  We are in this world but not of the world. We are of a different Kingdom.
Rom. 14:17  for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18. For he who in this way  serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. 19. So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.

I receive so many e-mails from organizations that want me to join their cause. It begins to feed into me a lot of negative thoughts  When this happens it becomes easier to say negative things about someone who does something that we disagree with. I repent for allowing those thoughts and words to come from my mind and mouth, knowing that I do not won't those things to fill my heart and I am to pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.

I am reminded of the words of God written by James in chapter 3 vs. 6
6. And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our  life, and is set on fire by hell.
Vs. 9  It goes on to say that with it we bless our Lord, and Father; and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God.

If we were to pray for those in authority as much as we talk about them God would bring change. If you are not in one of our groups that are participating in the 6 week Frees Series,  please get connected, it is not to late.
